Named after the hindu goddess lakshmi ( the goddess of wealth ).She is the only milk giving cow in ramanreti. She was named Lakshmi as every thing that cow gives is useful for us. Even the excreta of cow is sacred and is also called gou - gavya.According to hindu believes goddess lakshmi lives in the cow dung of indian cow .
